Welcome from the Honea Path Fire Department. As the Fire Chief of this great organization, I hope you find this site useful and informative. The men of the Honea Path Fire Department provide many services to our community with caring and professionalism. We respond to almost any type of emergency you can imagine, fires, emergency medical calls, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, technical rescues, most police calls that have a victim needing assistance, and just folks needing a helping hand.
We provide fire investigation, pre-fire surveys, fire code enforcement, fire and injury prevention, and many other services that help improve the quality of life for the citizens of our community.

You can drop off aluminum cans beside the Fire Department on Shirley Avenue to assist with financial cost of treating burn victims.
Anderson County collects approximately 2 thousand tons per year.

Both of these youngsters are sons of fireman with the Honea Path Fire Department.
Under the direction of Fire Chief Jimmy Smith, the Honea Path Fire Department participated in a house fire training burn on Shirley Avenue next to McCoy Lumber Company.
Fire Chief Jimmy Smith "Doc" was honored at the Honea Path Town Council meeting. Chief Smith was presented a plaque from the town praising him for his 35 years of service on the Honea Path Fire Department. Pictured along with Chief Smith is his wife, Marsha.

Engine 1
This is a 1982 Grumman, 1000 gal per min pump truck with large diameter hose. Responds to structure fires, grass fires and mutual aid calls.
Engine 2
This is a 1995 Central States, 1500 gal per min pump truck with large diameter hose. Responds to structure fires and mutual aid calls.
Engine 3
This is a John Bean 750gpm pump truck for reserve purposes.
Engine 4
This is a 2004 Rosenbauer, 1250 gal per min pumper truck with a large diameter hose and is also equipted with a class A foam system. Engine 4 responds to MVA's and structure fires within city limits.
Ladder 1
This is a 1968 Sutphen Ladder Truck with an 85' platform. Responds to structure fires (and cats up a tree).
Truck 1
This is a 1998 Central States Service and Rescue Vehicle and has a 300 gal per min pump. Responds to medical calls, structure fires, grass fires, vehicle accidents and mutual aid calls.
Truck 2
This is a 1981 Ford F350 air resupply vehicle and is reserved for special responses.
